Pad Printing

When is pad printing used for branding products?

Pad printing is a process of transferring ink from an etched plate by means of a silicone pad onto a product. This process is suited to branding products which are not necessarily flat such as cups and mugs or pens. It is best suited to designs with clearly defined colours with no shading in the design.

What will my logo look like once it has been pad printed?

It will look very similar to how it would look if it was screen printed, so any wording or detail would be clear and easy to read depending on the size of the print.

What is required from me for pad printing?

You will need to send us an image of your logo or whatever you need branded, this image needs to be in one of the following formats (Vector format): PDF | AI | CDR

Important to note when designing a logo for pad printing

  • Your logo must be no more than 4 colours in the design, in some cases we are only able to print one colour designs depending on the product and the design
  • Pad printing has relatively quick lead times
  • Uneven or rounded surfaces can be branded with this technique

Laser Engraving

When is laser engraving used for branding products?

Laser engraving is a process whereby the surface of a product is etched with a high intensity light source. There are two types of laser engraving, one which is suited to organic items such as glass, wood, leather or cork, and the other which which is used for branding metal. Your logo will appear professional and stylish with sharp lines once it has been laser engraved onto your chosen product.

What will my logo look like once it has been laser engraved?

The logo you design will need to be black and white and either the black or the white area will be the part of the design which will be laser engraved leaving you with a positive and negative affect.

What is required from me for laser engraving?

You will need to send us an image of your logo or whatever you need branded, this image needs to be in one of the following formats (One colour vector format): PDF | AI | CDR | JPG (high resolution black and white image)

Important to note when designing a logo for laser printing:

  • The composition of the product being laser engraved will determine the colour of your logo for example, cork will turn black and leather will be a darker shade of the colour of the leather.
  • There is a limit to the size of logo which can be laser engraved, mostly determined by the product being engraved and the area open to be branded on this product
  • If detail is too fine and the area for branding is small you may not see the logo clearly

Debossing

When is debossing used for branding products?

The process of debossing involves pressing a logo design into the surface of an object leaving an impression on the surface of the product. This branding technique is used when branding leather, PU or silicone products such as moleskin note books or diaries or silicone wristbands.

What will my logo look like once it has been debossed?

Your logo will look like an impression stamped into your chosen product, this looks very professional and is long lasting.

What is required from me for debossing?

You will need to send us an image of your logo or whatever you need branded, this image needs to be in one of the following formats (One colour vector format): PDF | AI | CDR | JPG (high resolution black and white image)

Important to note when designing a logo for debossing:

  • The design must be one colour
  • Size is limited to 90mm x 50mm

Foiling

When is foiling used for branding products?

The technique of foiling involves heat pressing a design onto the surface of a product. This is best suited to flat smooth surfaces as the foil fuses with the surface printed. The effect is classy and high end.

What will my logo look like once it has been foiling?

Your logo can either be foil printed in silver or gold, and will therefore have a metallic look.

What is required from me for foiling?

You will need to send us an image of your logo or whatever you need branded, this image needs to be in one of the following formats (One colour vector format): PDF | AI | CDR | JPG (high resolution black and white image)

Important to note when designing a logo for foiling:

  • The design must be one colour which will be printed in either gold or silver
  • Small wording or fine detail may not be easily visible
  • A limited range of products can be foiled and this technique is best suited to flat surfaces

Doming

When is doming used for branding products?

Doming is when your logo is given a 3D effect by applying a thin layer of Poly resin to a digital vinyl print of your logo and this is cut out and applied like a sticker to your product. This process is mostly used on key rings, zip pullers or as name badges or any other smooth flat surface.

What will my dome logo look like?

Your logo can be colour or black and white and it will look the same as if you printed it on paper but it will have a 3D gloss effect.

You will need to send us an image of your logo or whatever you need branded, this image needs to be in one of the following formats (vector format): PDF | AI | CDR | JPG (high resolution)

Important to note when designing a logo for doming:

  • Your design can be black and white or full colour and even with shading
  • Be cautious of your chosen products as this form of branding is essential a sticker and in some cases can peel off depending on the surface of your product
